A complementary pair of half-charges in linear motion; deducible from positron-electron mutual annihilation to equal-paired γ-rays, (except center-symmetric neutrinos in the case of direct-non-orbital capture), wherein the original positron and electron were each full-charge self-convolved standing waves, becoming a matched pair of linear rays: electromagnetic energy without measured charge.

Interaction with electrons:

As attraction and repulsion are gradient effects (as noted in discussion of electron structure, and in gravitational slowing), a non-gradient field has no significant effect on electrons but for occasional absorption and gravitationally-small aether busi-ness slowing; whence parts of a photon pass electrons without deflection, but the region between charge-halves, is, gradient, and thereby deflects polarity;-- a previously unobvious result.


Should be determinable by near-paralleling two identical photons and measuring the point of closest-approach and angle of deflection, and any low-frequency "radio-photon" emission tending to cause the pair to attach or sub-bounce ... where they've interacted adjacent long-enough to bounce ... inasmuch as they cannot glance through each other, and are not charge-opposed as would flip polarity (*).

* (though by energy-tunnel-like process, may ... for a "quadransversal"-wave ... an expectably rare case in this experiment, as polarity oscillation would yield a side-generative-split-frequency-co-emission with tidal-order strength as its stability.)

Length structure:

Recent attoscopic x-rays of synchronous triggered photon-atomic-electron interaction show typical atomic-generated photons consist of about four cycles within a sinc-pulse-like envelope with small significant tails, one tail of the same frequency, the other tail mixed with the lower frequency of the other orbital: ie. an electron orbital oscillates before and after the photon emission, starts emitting near either of two states, and emits every last bit of energy, afterwhich it ringing-oscillates exchanging energy with free space;-- ie. the electron goes through four cycles of orbital spatial adjustment as it drops between orbital energy detents, coupling a photon into space ... its total wave-group four-times longer than its wavelength (and whence it can self-interact in reflections).

(The experiment photographic evidence also indicated a few photons started on the trigger backporch;- maybe experimental design, but might be checked in lasering, whether any photons are 180° anti-coherent,- and accommodate this in quantum encryption.)


In thought-experiment, Had a photon been merely an adjacent pair of double-slit-cogenerated positive-negative charge-waves, their quick spread as waves would neutralize both to zero-charge; except by conservation-of-energy the neutrality region would be filled with residual energy-business, of-which the prominent mode would be helicity... (side-to-side convection).

Conversely, for an adjacent pair to not-neutralize, the two polarity-halves would have to be nonnegating charges: ie. both of positive magnitude but eg. distinguished-left-vs.-right by helicity... (that being vector-positive-negative for a positive scalar).

For helicity to be conserved in positron-electron mutual annihilation and cogeneration, an electron halved anti-shared with a positron halved, and linearized, should be the photon:- thence an electron must be a double-helicity-convolved standing-wave, and the photon a linear-pair of anti-helicity waves: probably aligned helicity to the ray direction and neutralization occurring outside both, but which would exhibit a slight eddy-mass (but probably single-mode non accelerative, and therefor not observed as rest-mass).

The magnetic field of a photon is para-linear bi-rolling (contra-helical pipes),-- and proportionally faster than the photon, lightspeed.


Said to have zero-rest-mass because it cannot be stopped to rest, yet its helicity amounts to eddy-mass: But as there is yet no faster phenomenon 'known', common calculations assume zero ... but cf the neutrino structure, may have a slightly 'heavier' eddy-mass and so slower and assumed to be 'stoppable' but which is not the case (else there would be another neutrino-esque particle that wasn't).

Fractional photons:

In the early-cosmos 'big bang' density, photons were chopped-up thoroughly: whence a major portion of the 'photon extinction event' was merely visibility-incompatibility: photons of unmatched frequency-and-energy simply disappeared from matched-view: unseen by atomical electrons; in the 'zero-point energy' substrata that yet-continues to perturb radionuclei to decay, and photons to redshift.
