I (1999)

The coupling of electromagnetic energy into the space-aether normally results in transmission of energy, but very little momentum. By out-racing the speed-of-light in the space aether we may impart more momentum.

The ordinary dipolar antenna emits radio-photons radially in all broadside directions, polarized to it axis. Circular polarization is usually achieved by quadrature pairing dipole antennæ - though these also emit to the sides simply polarized. If we raise the voltage significantly to the MV megavolt range for a small UHF antenna, we quickly or sporadically reach arc-over (and electric avalanche) in an atmosphere, in the 2000V/mm range, or sooner when the air is slightly ionized (which a small arc-over starts); and, at high enough voltages even the clean vacuum of outer space allows arc-over when the voltage gradient at the antenna surface exceeds the electron work function of the antenna conductor. For this reason the notion of highest voltage aetherpush may be necessarily constrainted to the vacuum of outerspace - or very nearly so, so long as the ætherpush clears the few molecules faster than an arc can consume thrust energy: and aetherpush may be useful only at the highest atmospheric altitudes, and beyond.

For very high megavolts, the antenna must be clean of 'whiskers' which can collect electrons at proximities so close as to cause direct emission of the electrons achieving their electron work-function at the surface of the conductor, and spark-away. A simple clean (smooth) sphere can restrain electrons at extremely high megavoltages, without sparking. Four such antenna end-spheres driven by 4-phase (quadratured) sinewave, define (the topological dual of) the circularly polarized antenna, adapted to megavolt drive: The charging of each of the end-spheres induces the opposite space-charge around it - in space vacuum this is a directional charge-field - and as the 4-phase circular polarization cycles, a pseudo radio-photon revolves around the race-path pinned by the 4 end-spheres. The linear displacement of these end-spheres determines the similarity to the ordinary antenna: the electromagnetic field rotates with the 4-phase megavolt drive, and may be able to keep-up at the speed of light, or less: and the pseudo radio-photon moves as transversal waves much like an ordinary photon of a paired negative and positive charge co-progressing, traveling side-by-side, up-to the speed of light. Below the speed of light, a pseudo radio-photon has minimal charge-field width definition: each opposite space-charge adheres to each charged sphere - a small (magnetic field) repulsive effect between co-progressing opposite charges tends to separate them, but smally. At, the speed-of-light, the electric attraction of the co-progressing opposite charges equals their repulsion effect, and they co-travel without significant sub-field generation (radial loss of energy) - this is commonly attributed to the magnetic component of traveling charges. But, by driving the 4-phase sinewave faster than what amounts to the speed-of-light around the end-sphere race, we may achieve more repulsion than attraction between co-progressing charges: Understand, these are pseudo radio-photons: there is no FTL or faster-than-light travel of information here as such: the pseudo radio-photon travels as place-of-coincidence of charging, not as information energy. The purpose is to maximize the repulsive effect coupled into the aether: to spread-apart and away the pseudo-photon, to generate aetherpush thrust.

(Even-phased may be adaptable to copolar radio-photon contra-rotation, like colliding electrons to start aether-splitting, and reduce radial loss of energy. The charge-drive internal attraction and repulsion forces of megavolts and co- and contra-progressing megavolt charges, further constraints the 4-phase design to some simplicity: 3-phase may be more achievable than 4-phase, as antenna power-cabling is simpler, installed further spread at 120 deg angle rather than 90 deg angle and so less stressed when powered,- and is 25% less non-payload mass, but, 3-phase has unavoidable asymmetry loss of energy. Mani-phase is more a likely technology.)

II (2004-2005 application adaptation)

We can directly extend this to a vortex generator-rider, a sort-of aether-torpedo:--

A sleek extended narrow-front wedge ovaloid (ellipsoid): a small specialized aether-burrowing hyper-photo cavitor, has a multi-tined "aether-beater" in front, to tunnel into the aether (more than four tines for improved power-coupling); sides of multiple helico-twist flute-tines, to stand-off aether reconnection, more efficiently than a mass-hole interface; and its rear a broad-base "aether-pusher". Basically a cold-shuttle encased in a "superhot supervacuum" laminar-flow aether-sheer;- traveling at hyper-optic speeds.

(cf) An ordinary "subatomic mass" is an aether "hot spot" through-out itself: an energy-entropic low-density center-zone maintaining against the cold-cosmic aether-pressure;- its self-shaping causes its-self to convolve within, rather than travel photon-linearly:-- a simple energy entropo-bubble; A vortex is smarter: The vortex rider uses the laminar-kinetic efficiency of a local aether-vortex to sheer-out an aether-cavity traveling-space for itself, while keeping itself contained from the mass-entropy tendency to reconnect the casing: a "baked-alaska" cold-mass center wrapped in a hot vacuum blanket maintained by the outer cosmic-room temperature aether: Whence it utilizes aetherpush technology (variously) end-to-end wraparound.

(Note the distinction between a stepped-progressive field and a similar static magnetic field: A static field mixes itself back into the surrounding aether, -indeed it is the same field,- but a stepped-progressive field has a dominant component that can go superoptic as it pushes cumulatively faster within its own developing sheer, a log avalanche, while its return component is slower and mixes ordinarily.)

In the process of starting a vortex, the "aether-beater" (more efficient than just beating) drags the aether around itself, accelerating it above the speed of light, to start aether-loop-shearing and-sheered-auto-reconnection,-... and once complete, the disconnected cavity and contained vessel will tend to move as a blob of aether, itself, following slight pressure-differences resonant in the cosmos since the central big-bang (ringing) and subsequent little-bang mass-hole creations,- floating and sinking like a neutral-buoyancy ice-block (*) ... Aether-crash speed, the speed of magnetic line-flow (charge-winding), is yet-unknown above aether-phonon-photon-speed, but once the hot-surface cavity exceeds that, its layer-flow shears and superconducts, and its aether-connect partial-pressure drops precipitously and ceases to drag the vortex shuttle rider.

* (The internal aether blob contained and shielded within its local-sheering also serves as a first-order inertial damper; Second-order effects may result in internal, mass, less-dense hot-spots, buoyed-forward accelerating within the ship. This -also- suggests that mass-holes, like ice-in-water, may have different density than the surrounding aether and may move with differing gravitation rules: Aether re-sponging may alter their effectual external gravitational mass.... The difference in meaning is, that, in addition to top-mass gravity, there may also be -colder- loop-density gravity affecting the speed of gravity, bobbing, bouncing on thermoclines, changing direction; Sheer-contained aether-blob spaces may be buoyant in planetary gravity: insular "sub-gravine" floation, or simply called, antigravity. Also, Aether-sheer surfaces, being superconductive, may destroy electrons by shorting, negative reflection flipping chirality, creating the instantaneous virtual-positron in mutual annihilation ... electrons are drawn-in by aether-subduction extracting to energy ... maybe ultimately a means for converting matter to antimatter efficiently, energy-conservatively or-regeneratively, by "fluid" aether-logic.)

A notable visible effect of the vortex rider beginning the process, is the aether whipping about the vessel, causes light to tortion near the vessel surface, -the sky twists about,- until the vessel exits. From inside there is little to see out, as the cavity-shell disintegrates photons: General navigation relies on estimating how much aether has been pushed-along in pre-reckoned galactic mass-hole aether-slip lanes-- as simple as fathoming hyper-knots. (There may be some random reconnection super-photon detections, too, if not too noisy.)

A potentially notable effect of a vortex rider passing, is the fast-momentary radial gradient pulse of aether-pressure, effectually a magnetic mono-wall pulse (cf the -nonextant- monopole), returning immediately to normal or near-normal-turbulent.
